Tariffs on products imported into the USA

Formal Entry Clearance
The process requires:
- All relevant duties & taxes remitted
- Ultimate consignee Tax ID (Social Security Number) – collected by the shipping partner
- A Merchandise Processing Fee (MPF) of $32.71 or 0.3464% of the shipment’s value (the higher of the two), charged by U.S. customs.
- Manufacturer Identification Details (MID), along with material composition details for any apparel items within the shipment.

A breakdown of the tariff changes impacting direct-to-consumer e-commerce
China
For products with COO USA sold into China:
Additional increase, bringing total tariff increase to 125%
China
For products with COO USA sold into China:
A total 84% tariff increase. Goods shipped before April 10 and arriving by May 13, 2025, will be exempt from this tariff increase.
USA
For products with COO China or Hong Kong sold into the USA:
A country-specific tariff increase of 125% on products above the US$800 de minimis threshold, bringing total tariff increase to 145%
For products with country-specific COO (excluding China, Hong Kong, Canada or Mexico) sold into the USA:
The country-specific tariff increases, on products with COO of specific countries announced on April 2nd and scheduled to take effect on April 9th, 2025, paused for 90 days. Products from any COO other than China, Hong Kong, Canada or Mexico, above the US$800 de minimis threshold, are subject to a 10% tariff increase.
USA
For products with any COO sold into the USA (excluding Canada and Mexico):
A 10% baseline tariff increase for products above the $800 de minimis threshold.
For products with any COO sold into the USA:
Any shipment valued above the US$800 de minimis threshold is now subject to formal entry clearance. This replaces the previous minimum for formal clearance, which was US$2500 for non-COO China or Hong Kong.
Canada
For products with COO USA sold into Canada:
The 25% Surtax introduced on March 4 expanded to additional products. To review the updated list of affected products, please click here.
USA
For products with COO Canada or Mexico sold into the USA:
A 25% tariff increase on products above the US$800 de minimis.
Any shipment with products COO Canada or Mexico valued above the US$800 de minimis threshold is subject to formal entry clearance.
For products with COO China or Hong Kong sold into the USA:
A 10% additional tariff increase on products above the US$800 de minimis
Canada
For products with COO USA sold into Canada:
A 25% Surtax on products imported into Canada with a COO USA, regardless of the shipment value. Shipments that are currently eligible for de minimis treatment will continue to be exempt from general duties and taxes BUT will not be exempt from the 25% Surtax.
