HRBP- APAC

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced HR Business Partner (HRBP) to join our Tokyo team and support our operations across the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region. The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about driving results.

Position Overview:

As an HRBP at Global-e, you will serve as a strategic partner to our business, providing HR leadership to enhance employee engagement, drive organizational effectiveness, and align HR strategies with business objectives across the APAC region.

Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment: Manage the full recruiting process to support our growth, including talent acquisition strategies, interviewing, and onboarding.
  • Payroll and Benefits: Support payroll processing and oversee benefit and compensation plans. Maintain ongoing benchmarks and manage compensation and benefits review processes.
  • Policy and Compliance: Provide policy interpretation, implementation, and consulting to align with the market benchmark. Ensure fairness and legal compliance.
  • People Strategies: Develop and execute people strategies to enhance our existing programs, focusing on onboarding, performance management, and employee relations.
  • Business Collaboration: Partner with leaders throughout the organization to understand business needs and provide HR guidance and support.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of HR experience in a global, agile, and matrixed organization. Experience supporting leadership teams based internationally.
  •  Excellent English – written and verbal communication skills – must
  • Thorough understanding of HR practices, including payroll, employment law, and regulations throughout APAC.
  • Proven experience partnering with senior managers and working autonomously.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask while maintaining high levels of prioritization.
  • Self-starter with the ability to handle multiple priorities and navigate ambiguity in a sophisticated matrix structure.
  • Ability to routinely take initiative to identify issues and solve problems.
  • Ability to periodically travel to our offices across APAC
