Security Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Security Engineer to join Global-e’s Cyber Security Department. This role offers the opportunity to play a key role in deploying, managing, and optimizing advanced security technologies to strengthen our defense capabilities in a complex, cloud-based environment.

What You’ll Do

Take ownership of existing security tools, continuously enhancing and optimizing defense mechanisms.
Implement, configure, upgrade, and fine-tune security solutions to ensure maximum effectiveness.
Serve as the go-to expert, offering technical guidance and support to other team members.
Stay ahead of the curve by keeping up with emerging security technologies and trends.
Lead proof-of-concept (POC) projects to evaluate and introduce new security solutions.

Requirements

3+ years of experience as a Security Engineer with hands-on expertise in security technologies.
Proven track record of leading at least three major security projects from initiation to completion.
Expertise in at least 5 of the following areas: Firewall, NAC, DLP, Mail Relay, MDM, Proxy, Endpoint Protection, Microsoft Security Suite.
Experience working as an AWS Security Engineer and securing cloud environments.
Strong understanding of networking principles and cloud security controls.
Solid experience with Linux/Windows system administration and security hardening practices
Ability to work independently, collaborate effectively with teams, and adapt to unconventional hours when necessary.
Practical experience in automating operations through scripting.
A strong sense of ownership and a results-driven mindset.

Nice to Have

CCNP Security Certification or AWS Security Specialist certification.
